ILONA PETERIS is a Lithuanian-born artist living in Southern California.
Her association with Gryphon Galleries in Denver, Colorado
led to 3 solo exhibits and a number of collective shows, including “Four Directions of California Art”.
To date, 16 solo
exhibits in Rochester, New York, Cleveland, Ohio, Denver, Colorado and Los Angeles, California, including the International Student
Center at UCLA.
Invitational group exhibits include San Bernardino County Museum-“International Artists of Southern California”, and
the Museum of Fine Arts in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In Los Angeles, her landscapes were exhibited at the McKenzie Gallery, Descanso Gardens
Art Gallery, in juried exhibits at the Brand Library Art Gallery, Mt. St, Mary’s College Fine Arts Gallery, Los Angeles Art Assoc.
Galleries, Museum of Science & Industry, and numerous other exhibits with Women Painters West.
Additional gallery exhibits include
the Run Run Shaw Gallery, Hong Kong, Riggs Gallery, La Jolla, Ca., Jinx Gallery in El Paso, Texas, & Warner Fine Arts Gallery,
Durango, Colorado.
She was represented by Louis Newman Galleries, Beverly Hills, Ca., Kathleen Warner Fine Arts, Westchester, Ca,
and Trios Gallery, Solana Beach, Ca.
Ilona studied art at UC Berkeley & UCLA (BA-1968). She was with the Los
Angeles Art Association for 28 years and is a member of Women Painters West. Her art is featured in the book
“Lithuanian Artists in North America” (Chicago; Vilnius: Galerija: Ethnos 1994).
Her work can be found in private & corporate
collections in the U.S., France, China, Canada, Australia, Germany & Lithuania.
